diary of a madman

Greetings,
Now I know it's been a while since you've heard from me, but don't let that fool you, I've been busy!
Read more for info on all the new junk I've added.
New Site Creator/Editor
I've been working on this for a while and am pretty tired of it, as such it hasn't received a lot of testing, so I expect it to be pretty buggy for a few days. If you encounter reproducible errors, post here or send me a PM.
I've also added a "Holiday YTMNDs" content box, if your site has a keyword like: christmas, kwanza[a], ha[n]nukah, chan[n]ukah, etc, it will be in the running for this box. As always, keyword abuse is grounds for site deletion, so don't try and cheat.
I am also working out a new system for limiting edit changes, you can read about it here and discuss it here.

- Domains are now automagically reserved when you start the site creation process.
- Nifty uploading screen with sound!
- Dupe checking for titles, images and sounds complete with insulting warning messages.
- Color picker GUI.
- Site Preview!
- Site and User Citation: Back-reference other sites or authors and it will link them on the profile page.

- Ability to set your own sites as NSFW.

Protip: In Maple 10, type: crisp:=x->[sin(s)*sin(t), cos(t), 1/2*sin(s)*sin(2*t)+x];crispcolor:=[9/10+1/10*sin(20*s), 3/4+1/10*sin(20*s), 0];plot3d([seq(crisp(i), i=0..19/10, 1/10), [(11*cos(t))*(1/10), (11*sin(t))*(1/10), 1/2*s+1]], s=-Pi..Pi, t=-Pi..Pi, color=([seq(crispcolor, i=0..19/10,1/10), [0,0,0]]), grid=([25, 25]), style=patchnogrid, scaling=constrained, transparency=([seq(0, i=0..19/10, 1/10), 9/10]), lightmodel=light2, axes=boxed); (You should see a translucent can of Pringles-ish chips.)
"I'd like to take bets: is lilgeorgiapeach81 for real, or a character like Dr-L337? I
can't tell." - my gut says its a subversive "nice" character, which in the troll world is a whole lot more creative then repeating the exact same comment on every site or telling everyone to f*ck themselves in all caps.
The guy on the phone makes probably $6 an hour and just reads from a computer screen. Sometimes he tries to use his brain and unknowingly equates dollars to cents. This is what happens when people who get paid $6 an hour to answer phones and give scripted answers try to use their brains. This type of thing happens, it's not that funny, there's no creativity involved, and if you like that sort of thing there are hundreds of websites to troll for that stuff. Keep it off of ytmnd.
As though max reads this anyway: Can we go back to when you could click on yr comment to go to the COMMENTS page, not the actual site. Checking back on a comment thread without looking the site again (eg ASSC*CK, Telemarketer, etc) would be great, thanks. Sincerely, Long-time Listener, First-time Caller.

I hate to be the sour apple but I think the latest update to the site is another step backword. What once was a simple one page upload scheme is now spread over 4 tabbed steps. The ability to save your work is novel but inconsequencial. I mean the meat of these sites are ONE image and ONE sound. I actually prefer test sites to the new preview updater. They allow you to cross check on multiple browsers, and faster.
Can somebody find me one of those mp3 telephone calls so I can farm some views and HoF too? I wanna join in LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLugh.
Man, and I thought Santa was a real stickler when it comes to hard labor. This oughta make things go a little (a lot, actually) smoother for those looking to add to the collage we call YTMND. Awesome work, Max! Can 't wait to see what else you've got in store coming Christmahanukwanza day (did that so as not to get offended by over-religious egotists....)!
