XD I remember that from the movie. My subtitling said it was an onomatopoeia for a "dragging" sound. Needless to say I was liek "WTF yo?" I'm glad someone made a ytmnd of it.

Even though I love the movie, I fail to see how "zuru" is a dragging sound... a bee noise makes more sense, like Cloud moves in a continual B-line, making circles in and out of his past memories...

they are right. "zuru zuru" is a Japanese onomatopoeia for "dragging." Very close to it is "tsuru tsuru" which is for drunken walking, or drifting. I always thought she was implying he was drifting and being indecisive, but dragging works too.
