The average age of menarche (onset of menstruation) is now between 11 and 12. It is ridiculous to call it "pedophilia" to be attracted to a sexually mature female capable of bearing children. Save your hate mail for real pedophiles, who are attracted to prepubescents. Personally I would find it weird if the boys in Julianna's school were not attracted to her at that age. They are not little kids.
By the way the age of consent was typically between 10 and 13 in the 19th century.
