Here I go to ruin your day again.
"That" in ASL is not used in that context. "You know I love cake" would be how to sign it. "That" is used as an adjective or a noun only in ASL. "That car," for example, or "That's right." (Though in the former case, "That" would be a point at the car in question if the care were in view.)
