seriously, don't post this stuff on ytmnd. You'll just get downvoted. The people who want to know about this stuff will find out on they're own. If your a Halo fan (me), theres no way you wouldn't find out. I knew about this as soon as it became public on the internet. May not come out until 2008 :(
Halo 3 is still being developed by Bungie, Halo Wars is being developed by Ensemble. The original Halo started as a Mac RTS, then moved to a 3rd person shooter, then finally an Xbox FPS. Halo Wars is being developed specifically for the Xbox 360, so it will be built for a controller. It will likely be much more combat based rather than base building and economy. Halo 1 is on the PC, Halo 2 is coming to the PC on Vista, Halo Wars will likely make it there in time.

People don't understand. HALO WAS ORIGINALLY AN RTS! After years of development it grew into an FPS, but most things in Halo like the backstory, the theme and the ring-shaped world were originally made for an RTS. I've seen most of the vehicles in Halo (including some Halo 2 vehicles: spectre, gauss hog) in the pixely screenshots of the early rts development stages. Now Halo is going to be the game it was originally planned to be.
And again, the reason Halo has a good setting for an RTS game is because the game was originally an RTS. If someone would make some sort of Halo-based RPG or a "Forerunner puzzle game", I would say it's crap. The only problem is that when this game comes out, haters of the FPS will say "dis is crap lol i haev nevr playd it but iv playd teh fps and it sukd becus it dusnt recuir skill or taktics. wut u mean dont use teh easyest diffecultee?" By the way, 5 for good news :)

LOL STFU NOOB IM SO COOL I CAN SWEAR AND GIVE YOU A 1 STAR. this was like 12345566534 years ago i posted this, some people didnt know about this so i informed them. also it is a shame that this shut down the C&C halo mod, but now ive been playing C&C3.
anyway sobernuts, u really must have no life if u go around here on ytmnd and take the time to explain why each and every ytmnd sucks. if it sucks why dont u move onto something good that you enjoy? i dont go on here much anymore, just every now and then
