That's not the Terminator thump. The real thing has 5 beats. If you ripped it directly from the movie as you said, you either missed a beat, or you didn't know what you were looking for and picked the completely wrong sound. 1 for making a Terminator YTMND without even knowing Terminator.

STFU WAchu. The main terminator thump in the beginning of the theme song, but this is still one of the famous terminator thumps. IT was often used to build up the suspense. It it used heavily in the scene in which the terminator is fixing his arm and his eye in his apartment.
