E6300 isn't bad, they overclock better and stay cooler than the 6600s which is what I have. There really isn't anything funny about losing all that sh*t either if he's not lying about it, since a Geforce 8800 alone is 600 bucks. I highly doubt all his stuff is dead though, he probably just fried the mobo along with the PSU.
