To find the humor in this comic you must understand the English language. As written "Can we go after we eat Grandpa?" insinuates that Chris would like to finish eating his grandpa before they left. However, the writer probably intended for Chris to be asking his grandpa a question, in which case there should be a comma after eat, like so "Can we go after we eat, Grandpa?"
