Yes, because had he not dropped the bomb he would have been court martialed, imprisoned, the story covered up, and someone else would have dropped it. The man in charge left the legacy, and you should know his name.

Yeah, life musta sucked for him knowing what he did. Thats a long time he lived with that guilt.

"I'm not proud that I killed 80,000 people, but I'm proud that I was able to start with nothing, plan it and have it work as perfectly as it did," This had me taken off guard and chuckling a little bit, seems like a random thing to be proud for. I could understand being proud to have helped quickly bring an end to the war or something... but I'm certainly not ready to condemn him as an evil man, or say we definitely shouldn't have dropped the bombs, I'm sure it was a lot different living during the war.
