Andromeda had decent writing, poor budget. it probably reflected star treks values better then the more recent trek series which makes sense with the rodenberry connection.

^ SO true. Also, despite the terrible acting, it still had one of the hottest female sci-fi lineups, and the fact that Kevin Sorbo wasn't that bad in the show. I'm on season four now with the little bro and we still love him. hopefully season 5 won't completely turn us off.
