yhbt, everyone knows the origin. the original was a photo by john white that got posted to animal forums, eventually the picture was posted on SA, then 4chan thereafter. SA was only a middle man. 4chan was the first to use the "o rly" saying because any post under 27 letters on a weekday resulted in instant permaban on SA. proof of how dorky we are here that we care years later
