I don't listen to Hannity either, or Limbaugh (unless I catch some of it driving around at lunch). But if you can look at the overall body of "work" done by 99% of television news during this campaign and fail to see the bias, then nothing I could say will convince you otherwise. Not all of us are that dim, though.

I dodged it because ben's premise is faulty. Couric didn't approach that interview as a journalist, she approached it as an activist. The question wasn't "what magazines do you read." It was "what magazines form your world view." It's a loaded question, and it's designed to lead the interviewee into saying something embarrassing. It's the equivalent of Hannity trying to trip up Biden, so stop pretending it's straight news.

Wrong. That's the one thing that no politician can do and hope to be elected. This election is about the undecideds and independents. If the question were posed to Obama by someone from Fox, you would've gotten the same result. Also, Palin knew she was in enemy territory and was (perhaps overly) defensive. Every major news outlet but one is carrying water for the Dems, and has been since 1992. Before Clinton, there was still such a thing as journalism.

As someone who reads everything from The Nation to the National Review I have no f*cking sympathy for some half-witted political hack who balks at a question about influence. If you can't handle a f*cking softball question like that, get the f*ck out of politics. Imagine if Couric (who I agree is about as incisive a journalist as Larry King or Barbara Walters) had asked something tough, like "Which five past presidents have most influenced your political career and how?" F*cking deer in the headlights...

Let's see how close I get with this prediction... Palin will lose re-election for Governor in November, 2010, making it untenable for her to run for President in 2012. In early 2011 (as the primaries start making news), she'll begin appearing regularly as a contributor on Fox News. In 2012, she'll accept an official position as a political expert and make Fox News her home for the next several years.

but for f*ck's sake stop pretending that you can't see it happening. You're entitled to a certain level of smugness and superiority when your side is holding all the cards, so enjoy it. I'm no republican, I don't care. But the liberals have blood in their eye this time, and it's obvious. Stop acting like the media is unbiased.
