Well, you'd be ending the Overseer's status as lord and master of the place. Once the Vault 13 residents knew that life was possible free from the Vault they'd leave. So, yes, I did listen and yes the Overseer is a dick. :)
Which is why I enjoyed making sure I always had a pistol in hand at the end.
