Most of the people that umfuld, me, and others have caught cheating here would have had decent site ratings/views anyway. Maybe not for every site but for a lot of them. But the temptation to act like an unaccompanied impulsive six-year old is just too much for everyone. If max did anything by creating (and un-modding) ytmnd, he proved (yet again) why humans suck, why we're our own worst enemies.
It used to be fun. And it used to be shameful to cheat. And it used to be that those who got caught were driven out by decent users. Now it's the opposite. Cheating is so much the norm that the sh*ttiest users rule the site. And because "quality" is the one thing they don't care about with their cheating, I take pleasure ruining the one thing they do care about: ratings. Plus, sometimes someone makes something funny.
