When he died, I remember reading the article in the paper, and sobbing. Something had died that was much more than just a man. A compassion, and a caring that he taught and lived seemed gone from the world. And for that I was truly grief stricken. Long may you live in our memories, Mr. Rogers to carry your spirit into the world, and spread it to all we know and see.
I'll probably get trolled for this, but I literally cried a little watching this. When I was a kid I did have an abusive father, he hit my mother and I a lot. He was drunk most of the time, and was a very angry man. I used to find comfort with Mr. Rogers as a kid, and it is because of him that I knew that there was good in the world. RIP.
i think it's sites like this, however artf*ggy some might say they are, serve to remind us all that we all do have hearts too. this one in particular is much more effective than the "animal crossing is tragic" site as it doesn't really need walls of text or more than about 15 seconds to invoke emotions. while i come to YTMND to laugh and not for 'art', this site was excellent and necessary.
