Horton Hears The Who
He was splashing, enjoying the jungle’s great joys, when Horton the elephant heard a small noise.

don't remind me. the tragedy of 9-11 wasn't the towers falling. it was the Who using this song in the tribute concert, changing its meaning from that of anti-authoritarianism to jingoism. keith was prolly rolling in his grave at that one. Goodnight, Moon.

video of performance in question: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynhSzTjw9aE

that's probably why this song got so popular; the fact that it can be viewed and interpreted in many ways certainly added to its popularity and generated controversy. somewhere else on the internets this song made it onto a list of the "top 50 conservative rock songs", which is such a piece of shit that you simply must give it a look. http://article.nationalreview.com/281095/rockin-the-right/john-j-mille
r (oh yeah, also, national review...lol)

eh, whatever. some of the same people who agree with the article will tell you that President Obama is a secret muslim born in Kenya or some damn thing. haven't seen any Who album-burnings like the Dixie Chicks somewhat brought upon themselves back in the Dubya years
