Last I checked, stealing someones work involved claiming you made it when you did not. Giving credit to those that created something is hardly stealing.

No, by that logic, if you wanted to create a YTMND with the Mona Lisa in it, then no one should really accuse you of stealing it if you credit da Vinci.

Ok, while you're technically not plagiarizing anything, you aren't using the source to do something original. I could fill a paper with only excerpts from other sources but that would be terrible and bring nothing new to the table.

Anyway, my point is that this isn't digg. Don't just repost Re: Re: Re: Fwd: Re: Check out this fune vid! emails you get from your dad.

Also there's is absolutely nothing angry in my writing. I'm just tired of seeing direct rips from other places of the internet without adding anything.

Well, there was the time and effort spent in editing the audio as well as creating the gif from the sources.

I could argue that adding a picture of a cat on top of meat-spin with an mp3 from a video game is terrible and brings nothing new to the table as well.

Anyway, my point is, I didn't merely just digg something. I created a YTMND just like many others. I also don't feel as though dropping an annoying image on top of it, or adding annoying noises to the song, would have benefited the YTMND.

We can go around in circles about this for a week, but I'll agree to disagree.

Seriously? Are you honestly trying to pull that pansy "agree to disagree" bull crap? What's the point of arguing if you're just going to fold after like 5 posts of text.

What sort of effort did you put in the audio other than maybe cutting out some of it. The same goes for the gif as well because I honestly can't think of anything you could of done to this that would count as "effort" because this looks exactly like the youtube video . You're either being disingenuous for the sake of your argument or you're terrible at ripping stuff straight out of youtube.

Go ahead and argue that my cat site is terrible, I'm not going to hold it against you. You'd probably completely miss the point but whatever.

So anyway, point out how this is something more substantial than a digg link and I'll probably leave you alone.

I merely answered your comment because you were not clear on what you meant. If you do not feel my submission is creative nor original, that's actually perfectly okay with me. I respect your opinion in that regard.
