so my buddies are going to the next Jets game (a Mon. night too), and i was like, nah, ima spend my 100 bucks on a quarter of the good stuff, last time i went to the Jets in Dec. i almost died of pneumonia, they stopped the game because we were throwing snowballs, and i saw some random dood pull a chevy chase, completely flipping over 360 degrees and sliding face first down a flight of concrete steps. and i don't know where i'm going with this story...

so i'm at this sports bar last night (sports as in SPORTS) and there were not girls except the waitress who i already banged. i was told i got hpv from her but it turns out that was lie to freak me out. anyways, it lead me to educate myself on hpv. you know there's a lot of misinformation circulating out there? so i'm at this sports (SPORTS) bar and i drank 3 small Mooseheads and a large Harpoon IPA. then later on i did a bunch of coke and tried to go to Target at 4 am for African American Friday but really i couldnt find any deals so i did more coke and then tried to sleep.

=d. did you know the more expensive a placebo is, the more effective it is? $5 dollar placebos have been proven to be more effective than $1 placebos. Injected placebos are more effective than if they are in pill-form. And red pill placebos are more effective than blue pills, unless the placebo is for a sleeping aid.

Sports: What's the deal with watching millionaires move/hit balls into baskets and/or zones, back and forth, ad infinitum?

Hey man, at least the millionaires on my team are better than yours!

At it's conception every sport was played by amateurs and gained popularity featuring amateur players, not millionaires. The word 'amateur' is of French origin meaning 'lover of'. In that manner sports are little different from any pastime.

10 million people will probably go to the movies tonight to see an overpaid, over-the-hill actor of limited range predictably shoot a bad guy to foil an overly cleaver plan to steal money just as they will next weekend and the weekend after that, ad infinitum. The difference with sports is the drama is real and far less predictable.

But for me personally I don't follow a league or sport but my teams. I hate the NBA. It's marketed to children and is officiated in such a way as to make you question if the results are not fixed at some level. I'm a Celtics fan. And yes, there have been times when the roster of my team was made up of players I didn't particularly care for and therefore didn't care nearly as much if they won or lost.
But every now and then, if you are lucky, you get to follow the entire career of an athlete like Larry Bird or Tom Brady or watch Pedro Martinez dominate like no player in the 150 years before him had. Or enjoy the play of a lesser known player like Mike Vrabel or Troy Brown and know that you are one of the relative few who will ever know how good he actually was/is. And the more invested you are in your team's fortunes year by year the greater reward, by way of sheer joy, when the special times come.

FUCK YOU! and FUCK Boston sports!

david ortiz, kevin garnett, randy moss. what do all of these players have in common? they all left Minnesota sports teams so they could win a championship in Boston. not to mention laurence maroney who played for the gophers in college. and doug mientkiewicz who caught the last out in the 2004 world series.

Yeah well Ortiz was a free agent we signed for 1.3 mil. Garnett and Moss were trades - Moss from Oakland and Maroney was drafted and neither he or Moss won a title anyway. And Mientkiewcz stole that ball.

You guys had Kirby. Considering the size of your market that should be enough to hold you for a few decades at least. We haven't won a world's championship in almost 30 months!

5 for tele-strater use.
a few things:
1) the fucking D back retreats 2 steps at the snap, conceding the 1st down, then comes forward to jam at 7 yards? What is that play called, "the touchdown"?
2) Think the safety should have been there? I can't tell.
3) Despite the touchdown, this is a classic late & under-thrown ball by Brady. A good throw is a walk-in touchdown.
