Not a rip. I made the gif myself frame by frame from an external source, and added some effects. I also chopped up the song myself to make it fit under the size parameters.

Regardless of the score, this pretty much gets the point across.

gimp -> print screen? I don't think so. In no way does that explain the foreground objects removed from backgrounds. It does not explain the moving light patterns or background patterns and objects. Nor would it explain moving scaled objects (unless gimp has motion tracking type animation which I am unaware of). Now maybe you used gimp at the end to export the final animation but as someone who worked with 3d Studio Max, Maya, Combustion and After Effects, I know that there is no way that Gimp alone, a mere image editor, can handle this.

None of the scaled, moving objects were my addition. They are from the film.

Thank you for the explanation. I really do appreciate your honesty. Unfortunately, the field I work in has a lot of people unfairly taking credit for things they did not actually do in the process. Because of my job, I guess I am just used to grilling people over what they did and did not do during a project.

I'm not trying to make some sort of resume-completing fantastic work of art here. It's a gif with a song, much as the original YTMND was an image with a sound. Neither required large amounts of work put into them and the rating should be based fully upon the YTMND that was presented containing the combination of those two, not the work itself.

There is a difference between a YTMND and a straight audio/frame rip from The Simpsons.

It isn't a conversion. I took the rip from the film and and put it to the song Rosetta Stoned by Tool, thus creating a YTMND. If it were a direct conversion, it wouldn't belong here.
