I get the purpose of some "cons" but why would you want to meet bizarre internet people face to face and discuss memes ... the idea sounds rather grotesque to me. I can only muster a fragment sentence of a comment on most stupid youtubes / ytmnds, is there really enough depth to Nyan cat that there needs to be a full-on question and answer panel with representatives from [i]useless[/i] university "_____-studies" departments recording the proceedings?
Maybe it functions like a trade show with the large corporate sites like Cheezburger getting together to plan fiscal year 2013's memes.
