Good job, george bush!
2006-01-21 17:02:23

Kerry would have done the same thing... all the presidential candidates were bad because the people don't want someone better than them who knows more than they do.

Too bad the national debt is actually benificial for foriegn trade operations. People who gripe about this have absolutely no idea how the global economy works. So put a Democrat in, if you wish, and lower the debt for absolutely no meaning but to satisfy

LOL! Wow, tomato, I didn't think anyone who was so stupid would ever actually open their mouth like that. How do you live with yourself by being so stupid?

Wow, mech, I didn't know anybody could possibly retort in such a pathetic and pointless manner. Go study up on economy before you talk, dumbass.

Doesn't even sound like Economy.

Actually, to be fair, the reason the economy fared so well under Clinton was due in part to the cyclical nature of the American economy and the policies set in place by Ronald Reagan and George Bush. The reason we enjoyed such great economic times in the

Thank you, bruce. You get it.

'90s was due to both the natural way of things and long term economic policies. While the economy suffered under the Republicans, it ultimately benefitted from them.

To be honest, I didn't really like Reagan and Bush, since they both did spend money rather unwisely, but their policies ultimately succeeded.

Leave it to Republicans to sort out Demorcrat debt.
2006-01-21 17:55:41

Ehh, I thought the first bush was much more practical with money than reagan, but reagan was more adament about the policies that worked.

I have no clue how the apple fell so far from the tree. Bush Sr. was at least a decent president.
2006-01-24 12:04:03

TomatoCannon, that's sort of half-true ... not all economic policies have lagging effects. especially when you look at the monetary side as opposed to fiscal planning ... also, there's no way in hell that the figures on THIS chart are the result of lagging effects. when you borrow money (to finance stupid imaginary wars), it effects your debt NOW.
