Looking at the image there are no Gallows. 4Kids has no control over how true it is to history. They do have control of how true it is to the anime and based on the image it looks like the anime didn't have him hanging untill 4Kids translated it.

Well, this was probably the best bit of the entire dub, since it actually reflected the Japanese version more than anything else in the god awful peice of sh*t.

I totally agree with Hartman. Viz should've gotten the rights to One Piece quickly before 4Kids cinched the deal. This is the sad truth. The repititon and the WTF cinched my 5 vote.
