I used a program that my friend wrote, and that isnt available, but, you can play around with a few different programs. I searched online and found one that looked good: Stereogram explorer www.aolej.com. If you google "stereograms" you can find more in

you can find more info. The hard part is creating the hidden image, because you have to create a picture that maps grayscale to the height above the background of the image. I used photoshop to shade stuff.

the traditional magic eye pictures always include 2 dots at the top (you're supposed to make the 2 dots collide into 1 in order to see the image) otherwise, great site

Im putting in a 4 for effort and idea, but any time I look at these, the ony way I can get it to work is by crossing my eyes, which makes everything seem 3D, but inverted. Thus all I see is an L shaped block receding into the picture
