Nintendo is doomed

yeah, Revolution was better, but people will get used to this, except the X-box fanboys who will say something like "ZOMG ITZ A KIDIE SISTEM LOL!!!" but nobody cares about them anyway.

Except its just a name. it has no bearing on the actual games and hardware. new coke was a different formula. This is still what revolution would be, but with a different name.

I just remember a Nintendo that liked to, you know, name their systems creatively but sanely. "Wii" just... I dunno. It just doesn't work for me.

It doesn't really bother me, heck look at some other systems. Sony was lazy and tacked a 2 on their second system, and Microsoft told you how many seconds you could actually be entertained in the name of their second console.

While I don't expect much in the way of innovation from Sony or Microsoft, having this WTF name come from Nintendo, who arguably brought console gaming where it is today (shoulder buttons, rumble, analog stick, etc.), I just don't know what they were thin

thinking. I know that "Revolution" was a codename just like "Dolphin" was, but come on. They came up with "Gamecube" from "Dolphin". But you're right. Ultimately, it means jack hardware/software-wise.

I agree with Futon545. Get over the weird name. It's not the worst thing in the world. If it were called "The Nintendo Penis", then you'd have something to be pissed about.
