OH noes! END OF TEH WORLd?!

it's a parody of twoaequalsa.ytmnd.com

...except it's far better. Knowing a slight bit of calc, 4 seems like the bad step...is it?

lol, see on the last step where he adds 1 to the other side? the calculus is just a distraction.

"...except it's far better. Knowing a slight bit of calc, 4 seems like the bad step...is it?" yep, the integrals at the end cancel out, so the constant from step 2 has to be added immeadiatly after integrating by parts.

"lol, see on the last step where he adds 1 to the other side? the calculus is just a distraction." idiot.

falcobird: its not a random 1 though. It's the -1 from the integral. -1*-1 = +1

Again, the only thing I can say is you need to go back to school and learn something, or else when you get a job at Burger King, things will be too tough for you.
2006-05-16 20:42:39

Uh, zero does NOT equal one. Try again, please.
2006-05-16 20:44:04

Constant, lol
2006-05-16 20:45:40

∫(1/x)dx - ∫(1/x)dx = ∫0dx = C C is the integration constant, which in this case, is 1. math prevails.
2006-05-16 20:48:55

pieman knows his calcululus. lol
2006-05-16 20:48:57

int(x^-1)dx = ln|x|
2006-05-16 20:50:13

Oops. Forgot + C.
2006-05-16 20:51:31

since you don't claim to have defeated math itself, and simply warn against improper integration... 5. it's advice we can all use. like when I'm retaking calc 2 next semester. (hopefully there was a decent curve on the final though)
2006-05-16 20:51:51

∫(1/x)dx= ln(x) at least with the a=b one, its harder to find the mistake...
2006-05-16 20:51:56

I'm too dumb to appreciate this.
2006-05-16 20:53:01

Silly little pieman. The C's for identical integrals, indefinite or otherwise, will cancel as they have the exact same value. This is why definite integrals will not have a C value when evaluated.
2006-05-16 20:58:27

lol, u-sub
2006-05-16 21:00:02

ln ln lol
2006-05-16 21:01:52

integral of 1/x is just ln(x). And obviously, even if you did do proper integration, it goes well over the heads of the 5yr olds/slobbering retards that make up 99% of this sites users.

Don't waste your time studying. Go meet girls and have sex with them. That's what college is for. You'll never be around so many attractive, easy women ever again in your life. Ever. EVER. ... God I miss it so...
2006-05-16 21:25:19

my college is full of hippies. and pot. and pot smoking hippies.
2006-05-16 21:33:33

Yeah, thought so... ∫(x^n)dx = x^(n+1)/(n+1) except when n = -1. I found it easier than the 1=2 one, strangely...
2006-05-17 20:42:40

I hate integrating constants. I always forget them. :/

huzzah. things begin to explode. thanks for the 5 on nedmpoopbus. I 5d all your sites in return

du = ln(x)
