for those that don't know, CTRL+ALT+DEL in Linux forces a reboot. It doesn't show a process manager or anything.

victort: the keystroke is not CTRL-ALT-DEL in the ytmnd its CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE which does not reboot your system but restarts the X server(graphical user interface) so any programs that require the GUI(gaim) have to restart.
