It's totally NOT possible in the NES, Original Gameboy, or any early versions of the game I've ever played. Perhaps the DS version...which looks like it gives you some type of countdown (color fade) to a piece getting locked into place. I haven't played the DS version though, so I don't really know.

try that on game B level 9.

it was made possible when tetris remakes were being made, where you'd have time to rotate a pice, or what i call 'piece dancing.' t-spin is hard to do though, and if you're caught using it, there's a possibility that you suck at tetris and you make random holes. :D

Actually, whoever said it wasn't possible on the early versions of the game are correct. The NES controller ran off a very low clock cycle (which isn't surprising, but kind've is when you think about playing Mario.) I used it as a final project for one of my earlier college courses. I still may have the info somewhere.

I still say this manuever is impossible in any version of Tetris I've played. While you can move a piece and turn it after it's "set" there has to be room for that piece to "fit." This is clearly an alteration.
