ok roy4l, i'll go with your other sites but this one is just a bit TOO random, it'd be much more awsome (in my opinion) if you didn't make the sound cut in and out all the time.

To me, it's not about the meaning. I don't really care. He puts together some cool stuff that's interesting to look at. Nobody else on YTMND does that. So what if you don't "get it"? There is quality in his work, you don't have to strain to appreciate it.

This is the first YTMND I have seen by ROY4L, here is what I gather from the visual symbols (and how they relate to Miss Temple): "Famous" - The sign is fading in the U, I attribute this to the concept of fame being short-lived.

"Pig" - This one gives me the most trouble. Miss Temple was seen as cute, and is wearing blue. I think the Red Pig may be opposing imagery to that concept of her. The Pig does have a Halo though, I believe it suggests that it is a good Pig/Child Star.

"Stars" - Besides the obvious, the stars are very colorful and attention grabbing, much like the hype that surrounds the class of star Miss Temple belongs to. “Heart” – Love, Sex, Passion of one sort on her left. Miss Temple and the many girls/women/females like her have always been Sex Symbols of varying degree.

I understand the nuance of the image itself but the musical theme seems out of place. What was the feeling that you tried to convey through the odd channel and drum effects?

“Nickel” – Money on the right! And Nickels were worth a lot more back then. o_O “Glass” – She’s timelessly encased in her best moment… or trapped like a bug. “Drums” – These are yet another gimmick placed on top of Miss Temple to draw more attention and create more hype.

…so yeah. That’s my over analysis. I really enjoyed this YTMND for many reasons. First, it let me overanalyze! Second, a great deal of work went into it!

Oh yeah, the music is nice too. Different phases, spliced fashion music slightly warped, some beats on a drum to match the visuals… 5/5 10/10 100% A+

Seems like the list of grievances against Roy4l's sites range in the "I wanted something funny, but got this", "I don't want to have to think about my entertainment so I'll call it pretenious", and "I'm too lazy to try and find a theme so it's a 'WTF' site" areas. Is what Roy4l does high art? Hell if I knew- but is it meaningless? To say that is a cop-out. Just admit you didn't understand (I don't) and move on.
