Christianity rules...and I know you mean well, but when fellow Christians do this kind of stuff, it really doesn't make people want to be Christian. In fact, the opposite usually happens; people think that Christians are wackos, which they aren't, and that Christianity is stupid, which it isn't.

The problem is that clinging too tightly to specific religions is what leads to human conflict. The battles over in Israel are because of religion. The terrorists were emboldened to kill others because of their religious beliefs. Almost every major war throughout history was the result of religious conflict.

If you really want to help others, find a way to unite all these different religious groups, so that we can all start working together. Think about how you feel when someone attacks your religion. That's exactly how muslims, jews, atheists, etc.. will feel when you dictate your beliefs to them. If people could just let go of their pride and admit we know nothing about the universe, and start focusing on ourselves (psychology) and our society (sociology) we could help make life better for everyone.

Religion. It should not rule your life, where Crusades or Holy Wars are declared against one another. It should only be a crutch in times needed in great times, such as being hospitalized. It's proven that if you believe you will get better, you will. Religion helps. Do not, however let it dictate your life. Religion gets scary at times, with so called faiths that preach hate, preach against the wonders of science, or worship animals like mice.

Regions still suffer in chaos due to numbers of reason. Eastern Europe, where Roman Catholics, Russian Othrodox Church, and Islam meet. Border and religous disputes. Ireland...Protestant and Catholic disputes over the border. Middle East- The Birth Place of the major Religions. Still a hell hole as we see. Kashmir- India and Pakistan dispute over this. They hate eachother, over religion. Buddhist and Islam. China is also nearby..Atheist.

I'm at a great loss as to why Christianity is always related to Anti-darwinism, or why so many christians are creationists. Let me go ahead and add something else here, before I leave. I don't think the problem lies in differences of opinion. Whether someone is truly faithful or not (which is rather subjective if you think about it) should not cause conflict. The problems arise when humans have too much PRIDE (yes, it's related to faith too) in their opinions, and become so confident that they are correct.. that they feel the need to defend their beliefs to the point of argument, conflict, and even war in some cases.

Answer me this... why can't I just say "I DON'T KNOW" when someone asks me if I believe in God, or asks me the origins of life. I'm being honest, is that such a horrible thing? The irony is that humans are afraid of saying that, because it makes them look stupid. Humans who let pride control their behavior fear looking stupid to others. Why do humans conform to groups? To fit in, feel comfortable, feel ACCEPTED. Humans want others to like them too much, to a fault in some cases.

This is where logic becomes overshadowed by human pride. Wouldn't it feel great to just let go, to relax, instead of having the need to feel superior all the time? I think it would.

So I can still believe in God, I can still believe in evolution, and many other things... I'm just not 100% sure of them. There are so many logical contradictions in the bible I am not even going to begin to start. Mainly, I want to know how being an atheist is more convenient than being a christian. I mean, knowing that after you die you will go to an eternity of happiness and that there is someone helping your every action is a hell of a lot more convenient than thinking that you are completely on your own.

People are atheists not because of the supposed "convenience", but because it makes logical sense that there is, in fact, no invisible being that loves everyone for absolutely no reason, yet feels the need to completely kill us all with a flood, give the most evil being in the universe his own kingdom, and not give us any feasable evidence of his existance.
