This YTMND made me come to the conclusion that the objective of an YTMND really is to convene an emotion. Traditionally it was through comedic and absurdist methods, but examples like yours shows that you can make people feel insignificant. I think that's one of the main reasons why YTMND is so great (and popular) overall. We come here for emotional rides. And for my generation, we want gratification instantly, and the format of this website is perfect for it.

I would prefer a different song. Lol, xbox controller larger than the largest star known! (Did you use the same picture for some of the stars?) Anywho... this was a major improvement of the origional, but I think this can still be jazzed up. (You're on the right track though!)

Yeah...I changed the brightness/hue/etc where it was appropriate, but we don't have pictures that clear of those stars so that's the best I could do.

Looks much better than the origional. However, I liked the Black Hole Overture much better than Soundgarden; it just accompanied the whole "this is enormous and your world is puny" theme really well.

I think this was actually much more interesting than A Tiny Glimpse. Sure, this was common knowledge, but you never get to see too many things spelled out so clearly. You could really actually grasp size with this one, whereas Tiny Glimpse..."Here is a picture from NASA, here's a lot of description, times it by a bijillion, and that's the universe." I liked this.

While the graphics are better, I feel the black hole overture music used in the original "Size of our world" was slightly more fitting. It kinda added more to the epic feel of it.

Very nicely done, the artwork was excellent for the most part. You could modify the coloration of the stars a little to be more accurate though. Most of your really large ones are still orange stars like ours, when in fact most of them are red giants/supergiants and the Pistol Star is a Blue variant. It wouldn't take long to figure out which stars are what type, wikipedia ftw.

I love this kind of thing and from a visual standpoint its wonderful (although some scales seem to be off), but my god man the music sucks dick. The original music brought it to life, made it more imposing and epic, the music choice here makes it annoying. And whilst the xbox controller was amusing it is not in keeping with the spirit of the peice.

I like how you cleaned it up, but I'll 5 it when you get a better song. It didn't work for me at all. Also, maybe in the future you could drop the intro? If you drop the intro, it will retain the mood much better when users watch it over and over again. The Black Hole Overture from A Tiny Glimse worked a lot better. A piece with lyrics is too trite to use when trying to conceptualize something as grand as our puny size in relation to the stuff around us. Well done though.

Surely a comparison to a black hole would also be greater than the size of the stars you have shown (considering there is supposedly a black hole in the middle of the galaxy - which would be pulling these stars inwards).
