zorgzorg, the humour in these kinds of sites is less of a "pushing the envelope" thing and more of an absurdism. Yes the "polend" joke is getting old, which I think is the reason "KHANtmnd" came along in the first place, as well as a whole bunch of other FPA motions. The fact that this site retains its aesthetic for crappiness (the heads are still copy/paste jobs and the site appears to be completely effortless) is more important than the fact that the site actually took a lot of effort.

Also, I think the main point of the poland joke has less to do with the effort it takes to create a site and more with the formulaic nature of humour on YTMND (the effort ti takes to make a joke, so to speak), so a YTMND that takes a lot of effort but still sends up the use of fads isn't inherently hypocritical at all.

I don't hate every front page site. In fact I 5 a few of them. I used to 5 more of them than I do now, but there simply isn't enough quality content anymore. I 5d Cosby Bebop and tons of other classic/super high effort popular sites, if I considered them to be good and they entertained me or made me laugh. It's just that many of them don't.
