8.8 is really good, but some Nintendo fanboys will always think a reviewer is biased against them unless they give the games a perfect score. Zelda's a fun game, and this score of "really great" reflects that.

At first I thought that Gamespot had given it a 7 or lower, but an 8.8? That's still pretty good.

First off, 8.8 is a great score from a site that is known for being tough on review scores. Second, the main criticism of the game (and the reason it's not in the 9 range) is because it doesn't really do anything new; it just does things that the series is already known for extremely well.

8.8 is a fair rating.

The thing that gets me wondering is the 10/10 Tilt score with the 8/10 gameplay score. Isn't gameplay like the MOST IMPORTANT factor in deciding the tilt? Let's face it, the Gamespot guys were going to give it even lower marks but decided they would look like dumbasses if they did so they gave a 10/10 tilt.

I enjoyed how he tried to defend himself but was pretty much hated on until he left the forums.

It's Gamef*gs. You're surprised? I got flaming emails from Final Fantasy hippies when I put up a review of Final Fantasy X, giving it a 6/10 on a system where "5" is average, and people were getting flamed left and right for not giving Halo 2 a 9 or 10 out of 10. I'd rather trust reviews from several different sites/magazines instead of just one. You never know if someone is a fanboy or a super-critic.

I'm honestly not a Zelda fan, but I've played the game and it's pretty f*cking good. Anything under a 90 is laughable. Gamespot has always tried to give low ball scores on games that have lasted for years.
