| yeah cigs are evil and all that n i choose not 2 smoke but i have to tell you that anti-cig legislation is kinda nazi in my opinion. they've got you all up in arms over banning it everwhere meanwhile its distracting us from the fact that our air and water are being polluted daily by much bigger forces. this ban is only gonna drive the cost up to ridiculous heights and ppl will pay it. plus, why not in restaurants have a nicely ventilated place ANYWAY for ppl with allergies and other health complications... | ||||||

| Cigarettes are legal. I don't know what that kid is talking about. In public places they are not allowed. Go cry civil rights infringement. Then try yelling 'Fire' in a theater or driving drunk. Your freedoms don't extend to the point when they impact other people's ability to live. The ban isn't what pushes costs up, it's the price. And, since the demand for cigarettes is highly inelastic, they can hike up the taxes and keep the addicts pouring out the cash for much needed tax dollars. | ||||||
