Aye, I don't use more than 1GB, aside from trailers and demos, which are deleted once i'm done with them. They're trying to expand the XBLM for downloading HD movies and such, which needs the extra space though.

To Megatron, you're a fool for being elite, who pays £500 for a GFX Card. I find the £130-£180 range range cards to have the best power-value ratio. Same with Processors.

You can't really say PC's are any better about making hardware obsolete. And I hope they discontinue the core, so a hard drive is standard in all 360's, so the developers can start putting them to use, aside from just holding movies and such.

Not really, going by the current "let's all f*ck the UK" pricing scheme, the $ is directly comparable to the £. So a "retail for $599 US" PS3 costs.... £599... and likewise a $400 copy of Vista Ultimate costs... tada, £400. So you're likely to be paying £179.95 for that $170.95 accessory.

Any PC gamer with half a brain has more than 1.8 in todays world. In fact, the one I'm building has a 2.24ghz Dual Core processor. So, that's 4.48ghz in total. Have fun with your slow 360! XD. And in all actuality, I have a 360 too. However, 120GB is not even close to necessary at this time. Wait it out and by the time it's needed, the price will drop. Especially since Micro$oft is charging us all out the *ss for map packs and dashboard themes.

Neither of those numbers are real. 1.8ghz processors are old; the 360 runs at 3.2ghz (which, I may add, is a bit odd considering that PowerPC used to be famous for doing more per clock cycle... any Mac fan will tell you that). Also, look at the 360's GPU. A Radeon X1800, compared to the SLI dual 8800s that high-end PCs have. For proof, simply look at how badly the 360 rapes Quake 4.

If the future of consoles is heading the direction of the ps3, i'd say just get a computer. You can't even compare the processing power...sure, the logical processing units may be the same speeds or faster but that doesn't account for the lack of a fully functional board to house them...a processors real speed comes from the board it sits on...if that's slow then the whole thing is slow...Computer gaming vs. Console is NOT comparable
