i live in a city near a native reserve and naturally i have a lot of native friends. they all admit to being rude, lazy alcoholics, so i don't think they would be very offended.

Locke5: this YTMND is all about presentation. this is a video that most people in Winnipeg had seen on YouTube, and was making a great deal of circulation on the internet and net-based Winnipeg communities. I had seen it before. the fact of the matter is that Timaeus presents it wonderfully, providing a musical backdrop with a crescendo that coincides with the dirty deed itself. the "please stand by," accompanied by the musical introduction to "Return to Innocence," make it so that...

... even people such as myself, who are already familiar with the video, aren't automatically cued off to its content. Once the video starts, it's just a short delay before the music kicks into full gear (either as he sits down, or a little after he's sitting down). for me, the instrumental kicks in just after he's comfortable, to give the impression that it's coming along with him actually beginning to poop. at this point, the cat's out of the bag, but the fart noises add another chuckle or two.

so IN CONCLUSION, this YTMND might be racist but it's a great YTMND, which is very well thought-out and beautifully executed. it's also much, much funnier than the video itself is on its own, with the added irony of the beautiful "noble savage" music and image of the Indian chief in the headdress on the "stand by" screen. that's what truly makes this site a success.
