The bible is writen by men, and of course, we always are evil and always will twist the words around. King james just made things worst in his version. I do not remember those quotes in the bible, but whatever, I never really read it. Really though, if we want the true words of god, then we must follow this quote jesus mentions (so does others) "Do onto others, as they would do onto you" thus, do not HATE anyone. Only extremists hate people, and really, Jesus was not an extremist.

I totally agree. The bible has been rewritten so many times by man to fit whatever whim they want others to follow. Hence all these religious based laws being passed. History repeating itself.

As a Christian, I've always been taught to "look at the bigger picture". I'll freely admit that the Bible isn't 100 percent accurately translated, and I'm sure there are exaggerations involved. What I take away from the book isn't details of dates, miracles or rules. What I do take away is the knowledge that an incredible man, the son of God, walked this mortal plane and taught us humility, respect and love. He spread the word of peace towards all people (even "f*gs"), and was punished for our evil.

Knight, that reminds me of that one episode on penn and tellers "bullsh*t", where they had two recipies of elvises fried chicken and they were trying to tell which one was the "real" elvis chicken. they ended that scene with "now imagine trying to tell which version is real thousands of years later".

During the time of Noah's day, according to the Bible, people were having sex with angels all the time because they were (forgive the pun) out of the world sexy. since Lot protected the angels God sparred him and his family. they ran away to hide in a cave while God was going all 9/11 on the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. they weren't supposed to look back on the cities, but being the dumb bitch that she was, Lot's wife did (she shoulda stayed in the kitchen, am i rite?)... as a result she was turned into a pillar of salt (whatever the f*ck that means).

You didn't mention that Lot's actions led him to oblivion. His descendants fought each other bitterly until they were all wiped out. Lot himself was never mentioned again, and it's safe to assume he died in obscurity and poverty. He paid for his actions.
