its a way of getting to the internet using a phone line. VERY VERY slow.

Before cable came around during the late 1990s, dial-up was all there was. My family had it as well. It was incredibly slow, and every time you opened IE, it had to call the server, which took a few minutes before you could even surf.

I almost want to cry over the fact that someone asked this question. God bless the 90s.

I'm sure my character died on the server, but I had that out-of-body experience where everything froze, but I was able to look around, and when I looked behind me, I saw a rocket, like, two feet from my face, with the smoke trailing behind it.
