Didn't something really really similar to that happen in the 2nd movie? I don't remember his hair being like that, but I actually thought this was a scene from the 2nd movie.

...it wasn't that bad. Nothing like the second one, and Venom was underutilized (but, Avi Arad is all like "someone who you think died in the 3rd one, didn't, and will be back for Spidey 4") and it had its horrible flaws, but was this scene any different than the "rain drops" one from SM2? Using the same formula to show what's going on with Peter inside. To show how much of a dick he's become...of course, they could have done it better, or a lot worse. If anything 3 villains was too much.

It did NOT suck, jesus christ people. You cannot look at ANY super hero movie in the context of "Is it cannon?", because no super hero movie will EVER be cannon or directly follow the storyline. I find it stupid as hell that Venom died, and all the emo parker scenes were hilarious, but jesus guys. It was great otherwise.

Aye. It sucked cause.. well... a ton of reasons, really. The Cheesey-Non-Goodness, for one, in many of the scenes. And the stupidly silly cooking scene. And the annoying singing/dancing scenes. And the improbable team-up at the end. And the improbable chance of either of those villains occuring.

i dont get how he was 'emo' - black suit and messy hair equals emo? like Connors says, the symbiote just amplifies tendencies in the host. Parker's a nerd with geekish tendencies, at most he was just moody and impulsive, which is why he jumps between dancing and sulking. the so called "emo" sequences were my favorite parts.
