It's a link to the Human Giant 24 hour event (don't believe me? Look in the page source... except they're gone now). They needed to get 1,000,000 hits in 24 hours, so they did it any way they could. Each view of the page-edge (dice looking thingy) is a page view. I imagine this can be used for any ad.
