Wasn't a waste at all. I thought I was going to play that thing less than my Dreamcast but as soon as Oblivion and Spiderman 3 Collector's Edition came out I was playing it more than any other console that I own. And I own alot.

I mean, it sure it has crappy online, bad games, sh*tty anti aliasing, cost 599 US DOLLARS, cell processor is sh*t and makes it impossible for developers to make games, non working HD, bad customer support from sony, can't run a good graphics engine, and bad backwards compatibility but, its the fricking PS3!!!!!! In all honesty, the PS3 is one of the worst system to come out out of the 3. Do your homework man.

Yet another misguided soul sold to Microsoft. Never had online problems. Plays PS2 game BETTER than an actual PS2 (better framerate and quicker load times), the HD has never glitched on me while the 360's glitches every 5 seconds, yes bad customer support, and its less than a 360. Xbox360=$400 + wifi $100 + HD $200. Lets see for the same thing as a PS3 you spend $700. And thats still just scratching the surface, you have to pay for Xbox Live because it would be stupid to own a 360 without Xbox Live.

But with the 360, u have a choice to get HD and the graphics in the backwards compatibility are shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiity. It looks like ps1 graphics for the ps2. I could show u this, if , u no, sony had better backwards compatibility and could allow more games. BTW, i did not sell my soul to the great bill gates. Before the new game generation came out, i loved my ps2, but even then sony didnt have great customer support. I voided my warrenty for a litlle laser tht was off by a bit.

They sent 3 patches in the versions of the OS to fix the PS2 compatability issue about 3 months ago. Now it plays them above and beyond from what they originally played like. Maybe you should stop complaining about things you know nothing about. And typing a bunch of i's doesn't bring your message home, it just makes you look like a jerk.

Wifi is wireless connection and it comes built in to the PS3.

well, i no wut wifi is, but i mean where is it on the 360? 360 doesn't use wifi, so ur 360 formula posted up there is wrong. even if i add HD, it is the cheaper than the ps3, cept with cooler stuff.

Look at all the games tht are in the ps3 or are coming to the ps3. Obviously, the 360 has better games. NOw the price for paying online for the 360 is actually quite reasonable. If you reason it out, its about 5$ a month to pay for a yr. Now if you have online for the 360, u get to play wit friends online insted of playing wit urself, wich u cant do on the ps3. Plus everything for the ps3 were stolen ideas from nintendo and microsoft.

Wifi is that thing that you have to buy for the 360 that goes in the usb port on the back. This enables your 360 to connect online wirelessly. Its very useful for someone who constantly moves but I'd rather have it built in so I don't lose it and have to buy another. Its small enough to lose, trust me.

on the 360, u wont have to use the wifi thing on the 360. Use a cord. its cheaper and better. and how would u lose it unless u were irresponsible and dumb enough to do so and wish for it to be built in the system. OH WAIT! If its built into the system and somehow breaks down, u will have to buy ANOTHER ps3 or void your warranty! So, if i buy the wifi for it and it breaks, i can easily buy another one without voiding the warranty for THE WHOLE GOD DAMN SYSTEM. Me, ill just stick with the cord.

AS i said before, use a wire for the 360. Its big and i don't think u would lose it. Plus its cheaper and i don't think u would lose it unless u were retarded. Plus, wifi can be very laggy for any system, so i would recommended tht instead.

Never lagged for me. And PS3 online doesn't suck. The community does, but not the online play. Its the same quality as Xbox live

Wouldn't u rather play wit sum people u know than people u don't know? I mean, PS3 may have online, but the 360 has alot more than just this. It has a FRIENDS LIST, which for sum reason sony cant put in the system. U can send msgs, im's, can talk through mics, and even if sony has online, it isn't really meant for it. I was fine with the ps2 having no online and still had fun. The ps3 has only games made for online wich isnt meant for it.

What the hell are you talking about? It has a friends list, messages, chatrooms, mic-chatrooms, and you can use an eyetoy for video-phone or use a custom or preset avatar. Jeez, look it up on the Sony website. Or are you too scared?

Also, you have the option to send any player you have met in any online game you've played and add them to your friends list. Thats how I met half of the people I know on PSN.

Microsoft isn't paying me jack. Its the fact tht sony has lost me as a customer because of thier sh*tty costumer support. Look at the rootkit fiasco tht happened and my ps2 laser malfunctioning to not just me, but for alot of ppl. THis is actually the first time i heard of this. Can u jump into ppls games while ur playing ur ps3?

If by jump in you mean put in the game that they are playing and join them then yeah. But if you mean immediately go to where they're playing from a press of a button then no. From the OS screen where you select to start the game you can see all your friends, their status (online, away, chatting, etc...), and what game they are playing. They don't even have to be playing online for you to see what game they're playing. But Sony's sh*tty customer support is a problem.

And I'm sorry if you got one of the 10% of the launch PS3s that had that glitch in it. Must've been rough considering Sony's customer service. Did you get it replaced or your money back?

Im talking bout my ps2 which i had to pay for again ESPESCIALLY since the warrenty went off 2 weeks later. As for jumping in the game, it can easily be done wit a push of a button wit the 360.

Sounds cool, maybe Sony will add that or something like that. We're just on 1.8 of the OS (8 updates). I can't wait for Home to come out, its a virtual version of the online community where you can customize your look and your house, visit other people's houses, and add your own soundtrack for anyone that comes to visit. Look, I'm not saying to hate the Xbox360, its a great system. But I just got sick of people saying all these untrue things about the PS3.

This is the first i heard of this friends list. Now, home doesnt really make me want to get a ps3, but it does make me think better of it. I still dont want to get it because of the lack of interesting games it has. Only MGS4 and Resistance interests me, and MGS4 will be on the 360 unless ps3 sells more systems.

Games are preference. If you don't like the games on it then don't get it, simple as that. But I like Resistance, Oblivion, Lair, and the Spiderman 3 Collector's edition plus some other in-production games sound pretty interesting too. They're making a Katamari Damacy for the PS3 and I'm guessing that they're gonna use the Sixaxis controller for some of the movements, if you're into Katamari that is...

I thought Metal Gear was owned by Sony and made by Kojima Productions. If that is the case then its just like Gears of War, its a 2nd party game which means the console that its produced for is the only one its going to be on. If MGS4 is 3rd party then perhaps it will go on the Xbox360 if Hideo Kojima wants it to be. I'd have to look it up...

Kojima Productions is thinking about maybe doing it on the 360 because of the lack of sales it is doing in japan. They also know they have a great fanbase on MGS in America and know the sales of the 360 were greater there. Though, they are just thinking about it.

If what you're saying is true then it sounds like Metal Gear is 3rd party. Either way, the PS3 is going to get it without a doubt. And the sales of the PS3 have been pretty steady, and I know you're not going to believe this but; The launch PS3s outsold the launch Xbox360s by 50000 units despite their low supply (facts from an interview with one of Sony's producers in the last issue of Game Informer).

Also, the PS3 failure rate was around 10% at launch compared to the 360's 30%, but thats just marketing and is irrelevant to those who buy the system a few months after it's release like you're supposed to ;P
