Remixx, I know this, and i've seen my sites drop from high threes and being on U&C to that score SPECIFICALLY because I leave comments with EVERY one of my votes, and that seems to attract people who are angry at what I rated them. Thank you for making my point Remixx... I have NEVER once resubmitted those sites because of how they recieved votes, and I've watched chronster resubmit TWO SEPARATE SITES with decent ratings because he wanted them higher.

I suggest you visit greatesttreasure.ytmnd.com, watch it and vote on your own, and then read all the comments that users have put on it, and say that it's natural resting place would be at a 2.57. I'm not a huge fan of resubmitting, but I didn't see any of the previous versions of this, nor have I seen chronster resubmit anything. That aside, peoples' resubmitting habits shouldn't have an effect on a person's opinion of the content. In any case, this is a great site.

Um. The solution is to spend no more than 10 minutes making a quick, amusing ytmnd. That was kind of the whole starting point of ytmnd, and people have lost sight of that and keep trying to make short films. It's a waste of time and you are taking sh*t too seriously. If you spent hours in photoshop and got a 3 then maybe you should have thought about whether your idea was really THAT funny in the first place.

Featured users seem to have lower ratings than their typical sites did before that section was created. It seems now most are holding them to an even higher standard than before or voting unfairly due to jealousy or some other stupid reasoning. Also if you make more sites like this as opposed to posting every picture you come across that would be great.

Piss off, featured users have gained more attention then they should, and don't get me wrong, i know all of them have tried alot to get where they are. I don't know, this website has become to much of a 'community' and less randomness and anonymous.

I'm not saying anything about it being a community but I've noticed that a lot of decent material gets voted on improperly both ways because of that pink name. What I'm saying is that because of the color of the name some users are held to higher standards and others to lower standards. Basically if you're name is pink the vote you're getting is from someone who is completely sober otherwise you're beer goggling the site or vice versa depending on your opinion on featured users.

Pretty cool. But you can't be serious with the bit about Featured Users. Do pink users really get automatic fives? No. What they have is more exposure due to the new box. This may give them an advantage if the newly recreated box is churning out sites, but if you've noticed the sites from pink users receive a wide range of ratings, just like everyone else.

When we say "stolen," we really mean "smacks of severe unoriginality." Your site uses a stolen image. Although you did cite, the concept behind the image (which of course was made by someone else) was used as a primary selling point in your YTMND and therefore loses you big points. On the other hand, your sound was well-chosen and had not been used before, and hence you created an original joke. The fact remains that your site does use a stolen GIF.

They are largely pointless here, where the general public tend to only upvote generic fad sites, stolen content, and as you already found out...sites about boobs. My first few ytmnds got ran into the ground, despite the fact that I worked really hard on them. A lot of them still do, but occasionally I'll get lucky and my sites will make the U&C. Do I bitch when leet-shoe or n4rvst downvote? Sure, but I'm just going to twiddle my thumbs until they get banned. When people give me 1s for legit reasons, rather than complaining and making

a self-righteous ytmnd about it, I'm wondering to myself 'what did *I* do wrong? How can I entertain or provoke YTMND users into voting higher for my sites?' I diagnose the problem, then I try to make my ytmnds better. I don't blame fat nerds, troll heads, or guys with their asses hanging out for voting me down. Also, it is not uncommon to have something stolen and made famous by a more popular user. I like the stuff. Several of my sites have been stolen in the past, sometimes months after I submit them, only for the theif to get in the top ten. doesn't help saying anything, even with the dates proving my point, it's like arguing with a fetus. There's a lot of total crap in the featured user box, and a lot of good stuff that gets overlooked. I think that the Worthwile box should get more exposure. Because even a user with 5 top ten sites will most likely have a few terrible ones.
