Concat, find some specs on the PS3 hard drive vs the aftermarket hard drive, like as far as RPMs and idle/load temperatures goes. You have to remember the PS3's airflow might not allow for much, or even perhaps that the ps3 hard drive yeilds better performance because of higher RPM's. Basically, if sony could do something to save money, they would. They are already losing a lot of money PER UNIT.

You guys are falling into Sony's trap, ROFL. This is exactly what they want you to do, to go out and buy a 60GB Ps3 so they can clear their warehouses. Do you seriously think they're stupid enough not to realize that their 80gb PS3 is a rip-off? As son as the 60gb ones sell, they'll drop their 80gb to $500

Or buy a 120GB Xbox 360 for $120 cheaper.... Just an idea.

GOW, a trilogy which comes to an end in a month, ace combat, and Forza. Not the greatest exclusive line up ever, huh? Also i'm not hating on the 360, just putting chick magnet's post in perspective. I think hank might be right. Sony voids warranties at the drop of a hat, and would probably void it in this case.

I haven't done the numbers myself, but from a straightforward view, this is a clever idea you have. Sure, there's probalby other factors to consider, but it makes for a funny YTMND nonetheless.

Or you can just not get a PS3 because like all next generation consoles they're simply PC's that only play games.
