Amazing how people actually have to get good ratings to become pink. F*cking owned.

Ill agree a little though since alot of folks have become pink they have fallen off really bad, so no you did not f*cking own anyone, and that makes you look like a little bitch saying sh*t like that.

Well that's really the subjective opinion of one person: the person saying it. And any rating a site comprises is that of a subjective one. The most accurate closest way to judging how good a site is "objectionably" would be to sum the subjective opinions of a variety of people and give it a rating based on this. This theory at least has some merit based in evidence. Suggesting that pink users = higher ratings without offering any explanation or evidence, has little to no merit at all.

Actually, there is such a thing as objective judgement of a YTMND besides the average opinion of all subjective judgements: judge a site by how accurately it meets the typical definition of a YTMND which one could probably find on the wiki. There is nothing wrong with changing or operating outside of that definition, but you can't expect people who judge by that definition to like your site. That and, it's a free country.

" If these are the objective guidelines of a ytmnd, this ytmnd has satisfied them. There is a point that is conveyed through image and sound concerning a topic. People using "objective" voting have no reason to vote low since all their empirical requirements have been met.

YTMND is NOT a grand coalition, and I DO think we can do better. I do think remembering Polend brought a rebellious stride to YTMND that was a direct retaliation to the way it was changing. You didn't destroy something you helped build Kassius, it was already destroyed. Noise siting people was the only way you knew how to respond to the rapid change and NARVs. It's hard to see something you love fall apart like this, like YTMND has. It's not 2004/2005 anymore. The golden days are gone.

The question is: Where do we go from here? Try to change the world or throw in the towel? I really can't answer that. I've been so disappointed with YTMND as of late that I really can't see it turning around. Yet I come here every day hoping there is something worthwhile on the top 10. There's such a small amount of talent still left on this site, it's really disappointing. It shouldn't have ended like this.
