I actually agree with you to an extent hanktherapper, I just couldn't think of a better idea honestly. I still enjoy spanish inquisition surprises, which is why I just settled with it. However, it is not nearly as overdone as NEDM or Brian Peppers.

I'm fully aware of how many Inquisition sites are out there. To me, the fact that they've been kind of dormant recently makes this site all the better. As I was watching this, I was saying "There's no way he'd throw in an NEDM/RickRoll/SI/etc, so when he did, it actually did surprise me a little, and it worked to get a chuckle. And yes, I do think my sarcasm is great. That's why I joined YTMND.

Spanish Inquisition is more appropriate than others. Would I have liked to make a more original surprise site? Yes. Do I give a sh*t about ratings? No. So do I make sites to cater sites to high votes? No. I was bored and here it is for better or for worse. Interestingly it still did pretty good despite the fact that it isn't particularly original. Anyway, it doesn't matter what kind of site I made, you would still one it.

There's a layered beauty in Spanish Inquisition sites that get created these days. Two years ago, it was the surprise ending that all ytmnd users foresaw. Today, being a fad with its glory days long behind it, it ends up working more wonderfully than the architects of it as a fad could possibly have hoped for, as ytmnd'ers invariably expect something else. This was amazing, and I haven't seen a Spanish Inquisition site since "The Rise and Fall of NEDM!", which is another reason why I'm so elated that this..
