The governments in Iran and Saudi-Arabia encourage this type of punishment for women. In fact Islamic religious law (Sharia) is even written into their official law, and they have police forces dedicated to enforcing it. We can't do anything about honour killings in those countries, the pacifists in our nation will not allow it. However the Muslims here must follow our law not Sharia law, and if they continue to refuse to then action must be take against Islam.

It isn't just one Muslims that does this. Two Muslim women have been killed in Dearborn Michigan, the USAs most Islamic city, in the last six months. In the Qur'an Sura 4:34 it says a man should beat his wives if they disobey him(wives is plural because many Muslims practice polygamy). Misogyny isn't just part of Islamic "extremism" it's at the core of the entire religion.

In Canada 17 Muslims plotted a terrorist attack. People sometimes point to men like Timothy McVeigh and say, "see, not all terrorists are Muslim." But, McVeigh was one man, we're talking about 17 here, and these men were born in Canada too. If these Muslim extremists were really a tiny minority, what is the probability that 17 would end up in Canada? It seems unlikely to me.
