I don't usually expect much from this site (I might have seen one or two brilliantly thought ytmnds in the last few years or so) but I enjoy the quirk of a catchy tune that parodies something hilarious in real life (yeah, that cuffs thing is done to death, but you'd laugh your *ss off if you were there with those cops witnessing his attempt). We may like to entertain the pretentious delusion that we only appreciate clever forms of irony or twisted obscurity but we're inclined to enjoy basic rhythmic satire.

I don't know what the point of this site is. Your two highest rated sites are exactly the type of site you are labeling as a witless hack job. I'm sure plenty of your other sites fall into certain genres as well. It's a genre. Anything that fits neatly in the genre probably isn't very creative. This is not to say that you can't do anything creative with the genre, but simply following conventions will always fail. You of all people should not be one to talk, though. Put creativity over attention whoring.

I agree that what you describe is probably the worst, although it seems odd to say that there is absolutely no intentionality or artistry involved in any of them and they are merely set to 'random' songs. And this is any more effective? Like I said - it's a genre. Like most genres, it is stale. You can't get everything you want. Seeing as other people like it and some people aim to satisfy demand, your dissatisfaction isn't going to do much. I can't really say that these mixes were any worse than the ones on your top 2 sites. Complaining about a lack of creativity is good, but complaining about one uncreative genre with an uncreative site is just being a pot calling the kettle black.
