I mean lots of people have lots of accounts and do lots of things with them (that is, other than use them for vote rigging), some of which is really pretty fascinating if you pay close attention. Just because you don't like one account does not mean you dislike like another. The idea that each of us here is locked into just one identity misses the biggest draw to the internet in the first place.

If you go back and read some of the comments left by the first wave of featured users that sh*t went to their heads so fast they sprayed crap out of their ears. Not everyone, for sure, but a lot of not-very-good-but-lamely-popular featured users got so high on themselves that the place was flooded by neither funny nor artsy nor well made nor in any way interesting sites, usually stuck on the front page for weeks.
