OMG. I was obsessed with Sonic when I was little and I used to do the same thing on long car rides, imagine him fighting some random thing or another and tails swooping in on an airplane and stuff. Even had this one time when I was riding cross state that I imagined the entire Sonic cast was having a race alongside our car. F*cking sweet memories.

Mine was watching Link from Legend of Zelda (one and two on the nes) run, doing tricks and dodging through traffic. This is full of WIN, good sir.

When I said counting, I guess I never meant actual counting. Just watching them go by on a six hour ride to Mount Rushmore was all the entertainment I got. There are three kinds of diamonds. The smallest had rounded edges and a hole in the middle. The bigger ones were either nailed down on just the top, or the top and bottom. On a rare occasion, there would be a circle. When you get to a bridge, there is always three orange circles vertically stacked, nailed to the side of the bridge.

When you are nearing an exit, they usually have two diamonds or two circles nailed to the posts. These types of posts line the entire off ramp. Sometimes the people constructing these would go all crazy and have like 8 diamonds/circles nailed to them. At night, those things really do light up.

I STILL think of characters of mine running alongside the side of the car when I'm riding in my parent's auto.

I had all kinds of little things like this going on as a kid in the car, wow. 5'd for awesome keywords and for finding common ground I didn't know I shared with others. Somebody really needs to make a video game called "Things I imagined as a kid in the car" full of minigames like this.

I used to do this.. but it was always a ninja jumping off of stuff like power lines or mailboxes; and he wasn't allowed to touch the ground. yeah I'm weird, but around here that's normal.
