Thanks makster. I also wanted to use fads that were classic, to give it a nostalgic feel.. My thought process on this T-shirt was as follows- since this is an action poster, I wanted a hero (Time Traveler), a girl (stephanie), a coach(n*gg*), and an annoying animal sidekick(NEDM). The ORLY owl was chosen after I finished the text- it reminded me of ZELDA, so I thought I'd throw an owl in there. I guess could replace him with a villian (maybe Brian Peppers?) if enough people wanted me to.

Ok, now that you put it that way I like it more. Good selection. But that thing you said about having a villain might be an idea for another shirt. Like a GOOD shirt (the one you made) and an EVIL shirt (including Brian Peppers, Moon Man, Lex Luthor, etc). Dunno, it might be very corny, but it sounded cool in my head xD

In my opinion DO NOT ADD BRIAN PEPPERS. I think the Peppers fad is throughly dead and a lot of people consider it morally wrong. But, the will of the majority.

I gotta say that a Brian Peppers added to the image would be an improvement. Though its difficult to portray him in >5 colors.

I still think that you should add the powerpuff gurlz and johnny bravos and dexter and his laboratory, those are all popular cartoon network characters that embody the YTMND style. Then we can attract the MTV demographic and finally sell some serious add space to large brand names.

Because as we know, saying "f*ck you" to the classic winners of YTMND would make for a perfectly good T-shirt. Though replacing the ORLY owl with Peppers would be an improvement, it stands up well. Respect your roots, how many of those images represent Hall of Fame site characters?
