Actually, no, it makes no f*cking sense at all. If he wrote this letter in 1885 it would have been hand written on paper. The first practical typewriter was invented by Christopher Latham Sholes and was marketed by the Remington Arms company in 1873. But even if it was typed, the font would look blotchy and uneven. This is totally fake, it clears nothing up, in fact the only thing it clears up is that people will 5 anything these days without proper research.
